Designed by and for women shredders.
This board is built to take some punishment for the ladies that are out there learning new moves. The WDT Core is environmentally friendly and offers a great soft to medium flex that makes this board the ultimate shred machine for girls.
The REVERSE CAMBER “BDR” technology is the latest sliced bread, keeping you buttering muffins all day long and taking on jumps without washing out on the landings. The reverse camber is great for jibbers that never want to catch an edge or hang up. With an easy to ride shape and tech enough for the pros, this board will get any beginner riding like a seasoned shredder in a matter of days.
“This board rides like a champ on any terrain! The Serenity rides like magic and has a flex friendly pattern. The truth behind a good rider is a great board!” – Melissa Evans
2010/2011 Academy Serenity Reverse Camber Women’s Snowboard Key Features:
Sandwich Construction – Tip to tail wood core “sandwiched” between layers of fiberglass and base material with specially formulated ABS sidewalls. Time tested performance with excellent torsional stability, edge hold, and durability.
WDT Hybrid Core – Wood Derivative Technology (WDT), is a hybrid composite core that is a mixture of 100% Spruce trees combined with a German engineered mixture of synthetic materials. Its molecular properties are identical to wood, but the core is 22% lighter in weight and is guaranteed to keep board memory and will not pack out like typical all-wood cores. Plus it is environmentally friendly.
Extruded 2000 Base – Extruded base is excellent for belt grinding for a smooth finish as opposed to an expensive sintered stone grind with structure finish. Most snow conditions respond better to a smooth base finish. The EXT 2000 also has great wax retention. It is also easier to repair than sintered bases, since you can fix it in your own garage with a stick of Ptex and an iron.
Reverse Camber – From the center of the board, there is a 1 degree progression extending towards the tip and tail.
