A rocker board designed specifically for women who take a park set of skills to the whole mountain; the Cadence supports spins, jumps, rail riding, and all-mountain cruising, with a lively disposition that's hard to fathom.
2011-2012 Arbor Cadence Women's Snowboard Key Features:
Parabolic Rocker - Arbor uses a rocker profile based on the parabolic arc; a shape that allows Arbor to gradually reduce the amount of rocker toward the tip and tail. This ensures that the outside contact points are close enough to the snow to re-engage when maximum edge control is needed. This rocker profile provides an additional layer of on-demand edge control without having to sacrifice any true-rocker performance.
Grip Tech - This sidecut design creates four additional contact points under foot for significantly improved and more direct edge control. The new contacts also create heel and toe pivot points that make turning faster and more efficient. Grip-Tech enables Arbor to offer a "True-Rocker" profile with powerful edge control, and thus preserves the full range of associated performance benefits. Grip-Tech also allows riders with large feet, up to a US Men's size 12, to ride standard width shapes.
Wood Power Ply - To counter the effect of de-cambering, Arbor turns to their power ply technology. By adding a third structural composite layer, in the form of a wood topsheet, they significantly enhance board pop and return for much improved true-rocker performance. Arbor's power ply technology allows them to reduce their overall reliance on chemically treated fiberglass and petroleum-based resin by up to 20%, which also provides important weight reduction.
Medicine Core - Arbor’s most versatile core, built from 100% FSC certified sustainably produced poplar. Poplar remains the industry’s standard for reliable return and lasting durability.
Deep Shadow Flex - A slightly tapered thinning of the core profile between the bindings, improves turn and spin initiation, tracking in mixed conditions, on the flats, and during landings, and performance on rails, boxes and jibs.
Rhythm Rails - Made of an ABS-urethane blend, Arbor’s Rhythm Rails deliver durability, an acoustically damp ride, and solid edge performance.
Corona Tips - The tip and tail of the snowboard have a semi-blunt shape and flat kick to support more versatile park and all-mountain performance.
Butter Glassing - A biax over biax lay-up that’s designed for park and street inspired all-mountain and urban riding.
Fusion Base - A tough, user-friendly extruded base that’s light and easy to repair.
