The ride-it-all addiction of a growing rocker community is nicely fed with the Element RX, which delivers rooted style and high-end performance on mountain, in the park, and well beyond; the quintessential do everything design.
2011-2012 Arbor Element RX Men's Snowboard Key Features:
Parabolic Rocker - Arbor uses a rocker profile based on the parabolic arc; a shape that allows Arbor to gradually reduce the amount of rocker toward the tip and tail. This ensures that the outside contact points are close enough to the snow to re-engage when maximum edge control is needed. This rocker profile provides an additional layer of on-demand edge control without having to sacrifice any true-rocker performance.
Grip Tech - This sidecut design creates four additional contact points under foot for significantly improved and more direct edge control. The new contacts also create heel and toe pivot points that make turning faster and more efficient. Grip-Tech enables Arbor to offer a "True-Rocker" profile with powerful edge control, and thus preserves the full range of associated performance benefits. Grip-Tech also allows riders with large feet, up to a US Men's size 12, to ride standard width shapes.
Wood Power Ply - To counter the effect of de-cambering, Arbor turns to their power ply technology. By adding a third structural composite layer, in the form of a wood topsheet, they significantly enhance board pop and return for much improved true-rocker performance. Arbor's power ply technology allows them to reduce their overall reliance on chemically treated fiberglass and petroleum-based resin by up to 20%, which also provides important weight reduction.
Mystic I Core - This is a high-grade core for mixed mountain or park performance, built using FSC certified, sustainably produced "TDS" poplar and reinforced with two bamboo axles running tip to tail down the center of the core. The bamboo axles create compression struts that liven up the longitudinal flex without affecting turn or spin initiation and landing recoverability. TDS is a specially selected lighter grade of wood.
Medium Shadow Flex - A slightly tapered thinning of the core profile between the bindings, improves turn and spin initiation, tracking in mixed conditions, on the flats, and during landings, and performance on rails, boxes and jibs.
Rhythm Rails - Made of an ABS-urethane blend, Arborメs Rhythm Rails deliver durability, an acoustically damp ride, and solid edge performance.
Toro Tips - The nose and tail of the snowboard have a drawn out design to support on-mountain and backcountry riding with deeper snow performance.
Mixed Glassing - A triax over biax lay-up thatメs best for versatile on-mountain and park riding.
Rocket Base - A higher molecular weight, wax infused, sintered base that offers unmatched durability and speed.
