You know what they say about girls: They don't ride like the boys and with the Distortia, it's time to be proud of that! Take those booty drops from the clubs to the boxes with a narrower and softer board. This board feels right at home in the park. The specially adjusted narrower version of TWIN TBT with the wider center base offers extra stability for hitting jumps and boxes; while still keeping it super forgiving and loose. Wide stances are not a problem, this board is very forgiving and fun.
2011-2012 Bataleon Distortia Women's Snowboard Key Features:
Triple Base Technology (TBT) - TBT dynamics bend your board both ways; combining the unique patented TBT rail-to-rail concave with full tip-to-tail positive camber. This creates a board that is both loose and forgiving while still delivering explosive camber driven pop and snappy edge to edge control. A TBT snowboard is flat between the bindings with angled side bases that are lifted with gradually increasing angles. The uplift starts from flat in the binding area to a maximum increase at the widest point of the board. When the board is ridden, the nose and tail are still loose at their widest points because of the dynamic edge rocker, while the pressed camber loads your board with pop and edge control. With the new updated TBT there is a slight extra uplift happening after the effective edge end to create an even looser feeling without sacrificing control.
Twin TBT - The TBT starts under the binding, with the center base being a bit wider than other TBT models. The Twin TBT is great for park riding because the wider center base stabilizes your jumps and rail slides. The uplift on the side bases gives a super loose and forgiving feel.
Core Core - This core is made using a pressure bonded wood composite technology. The end result is a flexible board that is very hard to break. This core is especially designed for a soft jib flex without sacrificing strength.
Biax Laminate - Biax laminates over and under the wood core create an easy flex with lots of feel.
Lightning Edge - The edges of the board are thinner, enabling you to carve with more feeling and precision.
Extruded Base - This base is easy to repair and can take a good beating. This low maintenance base slides well with irregular waxing, but steady waxing will yield the best results.
