Taking home every industry award it was entered into in 2010, the Eco Pop continues to build momentum. Loaded with Harshmellow Technology and lighter than you can believe, it's easy turn ability and fast and free feel are all a girl need to max out the mountain fun.
2011-2012 K2 Eco Pop Women's Snowboard Key Features:
All Terrain Rocker Technology - Designed for use throughout the entire mountain, the All Terrain Rocker allows for effortless turns on hardpack but also offers ample float in softer snow and crud. The medium rise through the tip, lower rise in the tail and a setback stance define this multi-purpose freerider.
Harshmellow Technology - K2's proprietary vibration dampening system is back again. The industry’s first high performance dampening system mellows the harshness of impacts and vibrations you feel while riding. This thin layer of Harshmellow synthetic polymer is designed specifically for your snowboarding needs to decrease high frequency vibration associated with riding at high speeds.
Hybrilight Construction - K2's exclusive Hybrilight construction features a thin, constant thickness sidewall designed for maximum performance and minimal material usage. The result is a lighter, more advanced snowboard with significantly less waste produced in manufacturing. Better. Greener.
Rhythm WH4 Core - With a greater percentage of Honeykomb than the WH3 Core, the WH4 core is engineered to maintain durability at a minimal weight. Honeykomb technology is simply stronger, lighter and damper than the wood it replaces. K2 maintains the tip to tail, rail-to-rail wood performance by inserting Honeykomb only on the lower surface of the core. You get all the benefits of Honeykomb without that tin can feel. The Rhythm Core is engineered specifically for women with lighter and softer woods in the tip and tail resulting in lower swing-weight and easy turn initiation.
Carbon Web II - Designed specifically to enhance K2's Baseline Technology, this all new Carbon Web brings the pop and snap of carbon closer to your bindings for maximum ollies and control in every situation. Carbon Web is offered in two different levels of sensitivity, I or II.
Triax Fiberglass Lay Up - This glass laminate adds diagonal layers that stiffen the board torsionally, yielding improved edge hold and increased stability for those off-axis landings.
Integrated Carbon Glass 20 (ICG 20) - K2 has integrated carbon into the fiberglass reducing overall weight and creating a super smooth release of power while increasing pop and liveliness. Each level of ICG (10, 20 or 30) is tailored for the rider at hand and their performance needs.
Twin Hyper Progressive Sidecut - An infinite number of different radii are blended together flawlessly from mellow in the tips, to more aggressive in the center. The result is a super predictable feel that never hooks. Responsive at high speeds and smooth enough to butter your way from the peak to the park.
4000 Sintered Base - Featuring the fastest natural base material available, K2's 4000 Sintered base is exceptionally durable and absorbs wax deeper, retaining it longer.
