Satisfying the constant search for a bigger high, the DH2 has got your fix. Built with Ride's new Hybrid Twin shape for a hook-free ride that's designed to slay features and stomp big landings. Featuring micro-rocker in the tip and tail that encourages a playful, surf-like feel, and a level micro-camber zone between the feet to maintain snap and amplify the pop factor. Complete with the key ingredients that keep you coming back for more, this versatile Hybrid Twin includes Pop Rods 2.0 for a boost of pop, a lightweight Membrain top sheet and smooth riding 85A Slimewalls.
The 2011-2012 Ride DH 2 Snowboard key features:
Hybrid Twin - Offering primo response, pop and stability, this unique twin shape features micro-rocker in the tip and tail to encourage a playful feel combined with a level micro-camber zone between the feet to maintain snap and amplify pop. Built hook-free to lock in landings without the fear of rocker washout, the Hybrid Twin shape is ideal for the expert freestyle Rider slaying features and going big.
Pop Rods 2.0 -Inject added liveliness to already fun and playful boards. Using strategic placement in the tip and tail, this technology adds pop without excessive stiffness generally associated with snappy boards. Made up of flat carbon rods that wrap a urethane slime-core, Pop Rods have carbon for massive pop and a slime-core to smooth out the landings. Available in three levels: Pop Rods 1.0, 2.0 & 3.0, offering more carbon in each increased level.
Carbon Array 5 - This power distribution technology provides total board control in every stance location. Widespread carbon stringers at the binding zone gather input from any stance width and all pressure angles. Rider input is then transferred to the opposing contact point for maxed out board control. Three levels of technology are available from 3, 5, to 7 rays.
85A Slimewalls - Ride’s exclusive Slimewalls are forgiving and ductile, absorbing impacts rather than defending against them. Just like skate wheels, the urethane in Slimewalls smoothes the interaction with the snow, wood, or metal surfaces you may ride on. On top of that, these sidewalls are virtually indestructible, the most durable in the industry.
Membrain Topsheet - Weighing less than half of traditional plastic top sheets, Membrain maintains a smooth feel by infusing urethane into fabric. Along with pushing limits in the world of lightweight, this process also allows Ride to push the boundaries when it comes to graphics by utilizing the textures and aesthetics associated with a variety of fabrics.
Hybrid Glass - Triaxial on top, biaxial on base, balanced torsion and stiffness for better response with speed.
Thin Con - Featuring tapered tips and tails, enhanced tip flex, reduced swing weight and sidewalls that run past the effective edge, Ride’s Thin Construction sets riders up for easy spins and board handling.
Cleave Edge - Nearly 50% more steel, the cleave edge provides an unmatched resistance to edge cracking and can be detuned to larger radii.
Fusion 4000 Base - This sintered base is more durable and harder than extruded and is the fastest base material known.
