Most of the time, the designers at Rome work based on the feedback of everyday riders, team riders, shop buyers and loud-mouth Rome sales reps. The designers need to answer to the riders. With the Addictive Collection, Rome lets the designers briefly break free from these forces that push and pull them constantly. The Addictive Collection allows the artists in the SDS to explore the creative space between their ears and let loose their interpretation of what a board should look like. No master, no rules. Creative expression the way it was meant to be.

Superpop Core Matrix - Three zones of low-density wood keep the weight extra low, while long segments of poplar keep the flex lively and smooth.

Hotrods: Carbon Single Barrel - This is Rome's most advanced pop-enhancing technology. To precisely locate longitudinal and/or torsional pop in the board, Rome mills out the core and inserts thin tubes of carbon or fiberglass. Carbon Single Barrel HotRods work to increase longitudinal kick without altering the rest of the flex profile. Rome lays in a single tube in the midline.

PressurePop Technology with Basalt Reverse-V - Platforms under the bindings store rider energy and channel it to the nose and tail. Another benefit of PressurePop is that the area under the bindings is designed like Rome's Impact Plates and increase strength. The Reverse V configuration extends inwards toward the centerline from the riders foot to the middle of the board at the contact points. This pattern increases ollie and nollie height, without altering the low-torque freestyle flex.

Straight Triax 30 Laminate - The epitome of flex with pop, this is the all-mountain freestyle laminate armed with 30 degree off-axis fibers that help shape the personality of Rome's park-to-peak boards. You get just enough butteryness for take-offs, landings, and jibs; just enough grip for throwing a slash or spraying a skier.

SinterSpeed Base - This base offers superfast sintered performance driven by the highest level of wax absorption in Rome’s base collection.
