New rocker line-up kicks out park-to-pow jams.
2011-2012 Rome Reverb Rocker Men's Snowboard Key Features:
MtnPop Rocker Camber - Some riders call it the best of both worlds. Rocker between your feet with positive camber in the nose and tail creates a ride that is loose at slow speeds and powerful at high speeds with plenty of tail for landing big jumps. It works seamlessly with Rome's QuickRip sidecut technology to output a poppy feel to go with the playful, floaty feel between the feet.
QuickRip Sidecut Technology -This sidecut consists of a mid-section sidecut that is off-set from a sidecut of the same radius in the nose and tail. This mid-section sidecut is joined to the nose and tail sidecut by transition zones that create two mid-board contact points that are located just outside of the binding mounting area. QuickRip lets a board "ride short" at slow speeds by engaging the mid-section sidecut between the mid-board contact points. It also lets a board "ride long" at high speeds by engaging the full running-length sidecut where the mid-board contact points work to improve edge hold.
Pop Core Matrix - A smooth, dynamically-flexing poplar matrix with two zones of low-density wood creates high response at a light weight.
Hotrods: Glass Single Barrel - This is Rome's most advanced pop-enhancing technology. To precisely locate longitudinal and/or torsional pop in the board, Rome mills out the core and inserts thin tubes of carbon or fiberglass. Glass Single Barrel HotRods work to increase longitudinal kick without altering the rest of the flex profile. Rome lays in a single tube in the midline.
Basalt Impact Plates - Rome’s Basalt Impact Plates deliver anti-compression strength under your bindings at a lighter weight with a more even flex.
Straight Biax Laminate - This playful and forgiving laminate definitely leans toward the flex side of the flex with pop spectrum. This laminate is perfect for a life of jumping, pressing, buttering and generally having creative fun.
SinterTrue Base - A combination of wax absorption and abrasion resistance results in gap-clearing speed with solid amounts of strength.
