Arbor Wasteland Snowboard 2013
Arbor's flagship snowboard meets their flagship system set of rocker technologies; the result, a board that delivers high-end all-mountain versatility and performance. Go anywhere in or out of bounds and ride with the crisp confidence that only the Wasteland provides.
2012-2013 Arbor Wasteland Men's Snowboard Key Features:
Parabolic Rocker - Arbor uses a "true-rocker" design based on the parabolic arc; a shape that gradually reduces the amount of rocker toward the tip and tail. This ensures that the outside contact points are close enough to the snow to re-engage when maximum edge control is needed. This rocker profile provides an additional layer of on-demand edge control without having to sacrifice any true-rocker performance.
Grip Tech - This sidecut design creates four additional contact points under foot for significantly improved and more direct edge control. The new contacts also create heel and toe pivot points that make turning faster and more efficient. Grip-Tech enables Arbor to offer a "True-Rocker" profile with powerful edge control, and thus preserves the full range of associated performance benefits. Grip-Tech also allows riders with larger feet, up to a US Men's size 12, to ride standard width shapes.
Inlaid Power Ply - To counter the loss of the "leaf spring" like effect inherent in camber designs, Arbor turns to their power ply technology. By adding an additional structural layer to the board, in the form of sustainably sourced structural wood, they significantly enhance board pop and return for much improved true-rocker performance.
Shaman Core - This core is a blend of renewable Paulownia and FSC Poplar wood and is ultra-lightweight and durable.
Power Walls - Made of sustainable bamboo, Arbor’s Power Walls deliver impact durability, edge performance and return.
Kevlar/Carbon Reinforced Tips - The reinforcement of the tips offers ultimate durability and tip/tail pop for serious big-mountain level performance.
Mountain Tips - The tip and tail of the snowboard are drawn out for on-mountain, back country and deep snow performance.
Mixed Glassing - A triax over biax lay-up that’s designed for versatile on-mountain and park riding.
Rocket Base - A high molecular weight, wax-infused sintered base that offers unmatched durability and speed.
