Artec Snowboards is a team driven brand, and a group effort focused on hyper-enhancing the snowboard experience.
Artec Snowboards is a progressive freestyle program. Their goal is singular, to create the most advanced freestyle snowboarding equipment on the planet, the approach is multilateral. It starts with the fusion of two primary manifestations of human endeavor, art and technology. Artec Snowboards and Bindings are built with one thing in mind, a high quality and high performance product.
Atec Snowboards are manufactured in the Elan Snowboard factory, home to some of the most advanced snowboard manufacturing processes in the world. Artec is committed to building the finest freestyle snowboards in the world. Located in the Austrian Alps, Artec’s state of the art manufacturing facility has been producing snowboards for over 20 years.
History:
Artec was initially a project launched in 2004 by Elan Snowboards which allowed boarders to submit their own designs and have them printed on custom boards. The idea was extremely popular and in 2008, Artec became its own independent snowboard brand with its own line of products. Artec is less well-known in the States as it is a mainly European brand.
Technology:
Artec is known for high-quality boards with cutting edge design. They use wood cores to keep their boards light and are known for using good quality European wood, rather than resorting to cheaper wood from Asia.
Riders:
The Artec team has both a Pro team and a global Amateur team. Key names from the pros include Gus Engle, who was born and lives in Alaska, and Nima Jalali, who loves the Aretc brand and is also working on launching some of his own products.
