DC Ply Womens Snowboard 2012
DC took the same team driven approach in building the women's Ply, and enlisted female riders Raewyn Reid and Kimmy Fasani to help develop women specific sizes and flex. Just like the men's version, DC added a fun collage of graphics but gave them a playful and colorful twist for the ladies.
"It's really hard to find a women's snowboard with a cool graphic that will also perform the way you want it to. The Ply offers the best of both worlds." - Raewyn Reid
2011-2012 DC Ply Women's Snowboard Key Features:
Lock and Load Camber - DC's Lock and Load Camber is their new approach to traditional camber. They started out with a traditional camber throughout the midsection of the board, and then lengthened the traditional contact points on the board to create a flat, stable platform for locking on and loading up the tail.
Flexalite Tip construction - DC engineered the new Flexalite Tip construction to be 30% lighter than traditional constructions while still allowing for a better flex. While the lighter weight helps reduce swing weight, the new flex is designed to give the rider more control on tricky presses.
Stratus Core - DC’s vertically laminated 100% poplar wood core is powerful, lightweight and maintains good pop, whether in the park or on the streets.
64.20 Biax Laminate Fiberglass Construction - Two directions of glass fibers are woven tightly together for a forgiving and torsionally flexible ride without sacrificing strength and durability which give the rider increased board control.
Radius To Flat - The flat surface at the tip and tail of the board provides lift in powder to keep you floating in the deepest snow, while the radius blends in perfectly with the sidecut to create effortless transitions from edge to edge.
True Base - DC's signature True Base is fast, durable and easy to maintain. It provides an exceptionally fast base that doesn't require frequent tuning.
Structurn Base Finish - DC's Structurn Base structure is scientifically proven to be a faster base in all conditions. Just how the dimples on a golf ball break tension and make it fly farther, these small dimples on the base break water tension and allow the board to glide faster, turn easier and allow you to ride longer.
